US-based
firm Belkin on Wednesday said it may set up a warehousing facility in
India depending on the launch of Goods and Services Tax in the country.

  GST,
a new indirect taxes regime that will subsume various state and Central
levies, is expected to be rolled out in India early next year.Anand said GST will help the company on the larger perspective, with uniform fee collection. He, however, did not rule out the possibility that it may even look at Singapore for setting up the warehouse if GST was not rolled out in India next year. The US-based company has two warehouse facilities in the Asia-Pacific region. Anand, here to unveil the firm's new product range of keyboards and mouse, said the company aims to generate revenue of Rs 250 crore in September 2012 compared to previous figures of Rs 150 crore. On future plans, he said the company aims to generate revenue of Rs 1,000 crore over the next three years. The wire and wireless mouse range that was launched on Wednesday is available between Rs 429 to Rs 1,199, Keyboard at Rs 569 and combo package ranges from Rs 869 to Rs 2,629. |
